Dans cette vidéo tutoriel, je vous montre comment installer et configurer OpenMediaVault (OMV), un système d’exploitation open source dédié aux serveurs de stockage en réseau (NAS). L’objectif : transformer facilement un vieux PC ou du matériel peu coûteux en un NAS silencieux, économe en énergie et personnalisable.
🎬 Préparation du matériel (00:18)
Pour débuter, je recommande d’utiliser :
- une clé USB pour l’installation,
- une connexion Internet pour les mises à jour,
- une sortie vidéo pour l’installation initiale,
- et un SSD pour héberger le système d’exploitation (afin de limiter le bruit et la consommation).
👉 Je précise que je ne mets pas en place de système RAID : je préfère garder mes disques indépendants et ne dupliquer que les données essentielles.
⚙️ Installation d’OpenMediaVault
- Création de la clé USB bootable (03:01) : avec le logiciel Rufus, je transforme l’image ISO d’OMV en support d’installation.
- Lancement de l’installation (05:48) : je démarre le PC sur la clé USB, puis je configure la langue, le fuseau horaire, le nom de la machine et le mot de passe root.
- Accès à l’interface web (11:51) : une fois installé, OMV se configure depuis un navigateur. Je commence par mettre le système à jour et définir une adresse IP fixe pour le NAS.
📂 Configuration du stockage et des utilisateurs
- Formatage des disques (20:25) : je montre comment préparer les disques de données.
- Création de dossiers partagés : organisation simple pour centraliser vos fichiers.
- Gestion des utilisateurs et des droits d’accès : indispensable pour sécuriser et contrôler l’accès aux données.
- Activation du service SMB/Samba (25:06) : afin de permettre aux PC Windows de se connecter facilement au NAS.
💻 Accéder à son NAS depuis Windows
Enfin, je termine en expliquant comment connecter un PC Windows aux dossiers partagés en mappant un lecteur réseau (30:04). Il suffit de saisir les identifiants créés dans OMV, et vos fichiers sont accessibles directement depuis l’explorateur Windows.

Financial and other donations (Monetary donations (use official, reputable channels), Gift cards, Volunteer services, etc.
3. We are working with some group of locals in various capacity. The locals are organizing themselves some local teachers training them with some skills with the support of some foreign foundations. After the training, they supply the skilled teachers to existing schools to improve learning quality for children of the deprived Nigerians. We finance to carry out this mission.
4. We pays the children school fees on continual unlimited scholarship in the local scheme especially for children’ whose parents were killed by Islamic terrorist extremists. We need finance to carry out this mission.
